Department Overview
The Department of Urdu offers a tradition of aesthetic aroma as a hub of richest languages. We are committed to inculcate skills of critical inquiry and analytical vision in our students to prepare them for playing a key role in the wider social, political, and ideological environment. We channelize their activities to ensure development in the pool of our national languages by eliminating the threat of language endangerment to preserve our indigenous culture. The department is acclaimed to have kept several books and research articles on theoretical and applied literary studies.

Message from The Head of The Department
Our noble purpose is to introduce our dear students to the basics of Urdu language and literature. Besides, we intend to develop student’s fondness for reading as well as their analytical ability. Together we shall embark to reinvigorate our national language.
